From having coffee with one of the newest members of Franklin to one of the most longstanding, I’ve now covered the spectrum. If you want to get your questions answered, you need to sit down with someone like Tom. His family has been in this area since Tennessee was a state back in 1796. He’s seen this area build up over the past decades and he knows where all the bodies are buried, so to speak. And how did we meet Tom? Simple. SoCalGal @ the Frothy Monkey
I’ve been told that you will normally meet people born elsewhere when talking to your neighbors in Williamson County. So it was no surprise that my second Coffee Connect moved here less than a year ago. Like David before her, SoCalGal found me on the Brentwood-Franklin Connections Group on LinkedIn. Through word of mouth she’d heard good things about the Frothy Monkey on 5th Avenue in downtown Franklin so that’s where we agreed to meet.
First about the Monkey. I too had heard about it and the day we went the place was bustling. This is obviously a popular local haunt. She got an iced caramel mocha and I thoroughly enjoyed a monkey mocha with just a hint of banana. Plenty of seating, both inside and out, where you can people watch. Nice ambiance as well. It’s a repeat location for me.
